Since 2006, I have worked as a counsellor with Choose Again, supporting people in the process of self-discovery and healing. My interest in the transformative power of honesty and awareness began much earlier, first through poetry and later through the visual arts. Writing and painting taught me how to observe my own thought patterns and open myself to deeper insight and change.
Over time, my path of inquiry expanded to include Buddhist meditation, Aikido, the culinary arts, and wilderness survival skills, especially traditional plant knowledge. Outside of counselling, I work as a researcher and educator in ethnobiology, where I help rebuild connections between people and the natural world through historical research and experiential education.
At the heart of my work is a simple question: what does it mean to be human, and how can we do it well? I see counselling as a partnership in healing, where both people learn and grow. I also believe that each of us has access to an inner knowing β whether we call it intuition, the higher self, or an inner teacher β that can guide us through difficult moments and everyday choices.
My intention is to help clients connect with that inner wisdom by becoming aware of old habits and patterns, questioning the stories that shape us, and practicing the 6-step forgiveness process. I believe we all carry the capacity to reconnect with the desire to heal and love that lives within us.
