Medine’s yoga path began in her teens, when a teacher’s simple cue to “relax the jaw” created a lasting inner shift. From that moment on, yoga became a steady guide in her life.
During university and her years working as a banker, yoga offered a quiet refuge — a place to reset, reconnect, and step away from the pressures of corporate life. After more than ten years of practice, she completed her teacher training in Melbourne in the early 2000s. Although the local scene often focused on progress and achievement, Medine felt a deep affinity with the Prenatal Mamas, a community that reflected both softness and strength.
Later, after becoming a mother, she paused teaching to deepen her own practice and continue her studies in yoga nidra, prenatal yoga, and postnatal yoga. This time became a grounding yet expansive chapter in her journey.
When the world slowed during COVID, Medine and her son moved from Melbourne to the Northern Rivers, where she found Free Flow Yoga. Since then, she has loved teaching and contributing to the Murwillumbah community.
In 2025, Medine became co-owner of Free Flow, where she continues to help nurture a space of health, connection, and vitality alongside Gopali.
