Marlies Tobias works at the intersection of yoga therapy and clinical research, with a focus on Long COVID and other post-acute infection syndromes (PAIS). She is enrolled in the evidence-based master’s program in Yoga Therapy at Vivekananda Yoga University (VaYU) and takes an evidence-informed approach in her practice: grounded in science, modern stress physiology, and nervous system regulation, while also drawing on clinical reasoning and carefully selected elements from the classical yoga tradition. Everything is adapted to each participant’s individual context, capacity, and needs.
Safety, appropriate dosing, and personal alignment are central to her work. Her classes and programs are clear, calm, and practical, with room for choice and no pressure to perform.
Marlies lived and worked in the United States for eight years, including four years as lead teacher in Akasha Yoga teacher trainings. Back in the Netherlands, she built her academy at Breda station: an accessible place where people can begin yoga, work intentionally on their health through yoga therapy, or train to become yoga teachers. She works in Dutch and English.
Yoga begins with regulation. From there, space opens for recovery and sustainable integration into daily life. Not performance, but a way of listening.
