After growing up in Italy, Marco’s first encounter with yoga happened in 2012, when he returned to Ecuador, his country of birth, to reconnect with his roots. That experience marked a turning point in his life and led him to begin studying the human body and its many layers of beauty through a range of related disciplines.
In 2016, following the completion of a Physiotherapy degree in Italy, he decided to deepen his yoga studies and travelled to India, where he immersed himself in the local culture and began practising yoga intensively. In Rishikesh, he completed a 200-hour Hatha Yoga TTC, and later in Goa, a 300-hour Ashtanga Yoga TTC. During his time in India, he also began playing tablas and enjoyed trekking in the Himalayas.
With experience teaching several yoga styles, Marco is also a professional massage therapist specialising in Thai Massage, a modality that blends naturally with yoga. Deeply devoted to traditional Hatha Yoga, he has also spent the last two years exploring Iyengar Yoga, a discipline he has come to love. Thanks to his strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, he places special attention on alignment and body awareness. For Marco, yoga begins with gentleness and a deep respect for the body.
