Holding the healing legacy passed down through generations of women in her family, Grandmother Mamacuna bears the title of “Suma Sacerdotisa Inca.” From her mother and grandmother, she learned traditional healing methods in Peru from an early age, including cleansing practices with sword, tobacco, perfume, egg, and candle. Now in her seventies, she continues this path with unwavering devotion, vitality, and love.
Mamacuna is a direct representative of the spirit of Wachuma medicine, one of the world’s great sacred plants, and serves as its guardian in the sacred hills of Andalgalá, Catamarca, Argentina. She works with a variety of Andean healing techniques and also teaches sacred mushroom medicine.
Her healing gift comes not only from the ancestral wisdom she carries, but also from the difficult experiences life has brought her, through which she has come to understand the pain and challenges the human soul must endure. In addition to guiding ceremonies and supporting deep healing processes, it is her charisma, tenderness, joyful spirit, and warmth that leave a lasting impact on those who meet her.
