Shipibo name: Neten Yaca, meaning Bright World.
Tania comes from Roaboya, a remote Shipibo village on the Ucayali River, and has worked with traditional medicines throughout her life. Born into a lineage of healers, she carries forward a family tradition shaped by deep knowledge, responsibility, and devotion to her community.
She has 13 years of experience working with ayahuasca. Her first main teacher was her grandfather, Jose Lopez, who served as the community healer at the time. Later, she learned from her uncle Americo Lopez and his partner Olga Urquia, as well as her cousin Gabriel Lopez. Through their guidance, the family grew into a strong group of healers, as Tania describes it.
Among her favorite plants are marosa, piñon colorado, and shiwahuaco.
