Coordinator and senior retreat and integration facilitator, Juliana brings decades of experience in spiritual practice, trauma-informed support, and holistic healing. Her path began in Brazil in 1995, when an Ayahuasca journey within the Santo Daime tradition opened the door to a profound new understanding of the plant world and its intricate healing intelligence.
In the years that followed, she traveled widely to study ancient traditions, spending time in dharma centers and ashrams across Asia and the USA, including Tushita Dharma Center in India, Kopan Monastery in Nepal, and Spirit Rock in California. She also lived for several years in a healthy community and school in Brazil, University of Light, where she completed her degree in Transpersonal Psychology.
Juliana has continued to deepen her relationship with the plants through dieting with different Master Plants alongside the Lopez Sanchez Family — Maestras Ynes, Laura, and Maestro José — within the Shipibo Tradition. Over the past 20 years, her main focus has been the integration of Eastern practices such as yoga and mindfulness with Sacred Plant Medicines and contemporary psychological approaches, especially in the areas of trauma renegotiation and the rewriting of personal life stories.
She has supported hundreds of people before, during, and after their medicine journeys, and her own direct experience has shaped her deep respect for the integration process. To offer more complete care, she trained in the Compassionate Inquiry approach with Gabor Maté and completed a three-year Somatic Experiencing training with Peter Levine, a body-based method for healing and regulation.
For the past seven years, Juliana has been working at the Temple and also online as an integration facilitator. Her intention is to help people feel safe in their bodies, integrate trauma and the many parts of human experience, and move toward greater clarity around their path and purpose in life.
