Jonathan grew up as the eldest of two brothers and was always considered the more reflective, spiritually oriented one in the family. His parents’ decision to move to New Zealand in search of a deeper purpose and a closer relationship with nature created an environment rich in exploration, awareness, and lived experience—an atmosphere that shaped his path from an early age.
That interest deepened during his bachelor’s studies at NYU’s Gallatin School of Individualized Studies, where Jonathan researched and wrote a thesis on how narratives and ideology influence the formation of self and identity. His academic work also examined the potential of meditation and psychedelics to help reconnect with our natural, authentic essence.
With a background rooted in both personal experience and thoughtful inquiry, Jonathan brings a grounded yet expansive perspective to his teaching. His approach reflects curiosity, depth, and a sincere interest in the ways inner work can support greater self-understanding and connection.
