My yoga journey began in 2001, when I attended my first class and immediately felt a strong connection to the practice. Although I later stepped away from yoga due to personal circumstances and the demands of running my own business as a chef proprietor, that period also opened my eyes to how stressful life can be, especially in corporate environments. It inspired me to support others in restoring both mental calm and physical wellbeing.
In 2006, I returned to yoga through classes at my local health club in Staines, where I had the good fortune to meet inspiring teachers from a range of traditions, including Ashtanga, Hatha, Tantric, Anusara, Gravatonic, and mindfulness meditation. In 2015, I made the decision to leave my work as a chef and teach yoga full time, deepening my knowledge so I could better guide and encourage others on their own life-changing journeys.
Drawing on my background in Lebanese cuisine and its healthy Mediterranean influence, I also offer dietary guidance as part of a holistic approach to wellbeing. Alongside teaching yoga, I cater at some of the retreats I lead and organise retreats in the UK and abroad, monthly workshops, and Rasa Yoga 200-hour teacher training in the UK and internationally. I also teach at festivals across Europe, as well as offering bespoke one-to-one and two-to-one yoga sessions.
