With more than two decades of experience, Henry Fersko-Weiss, LCSW has helped shape the modern end-of-life doula movement. In 2003, he established the first fully developed end-of-life doula program at a hospice in the United States, setting an important foundation for this growing field. Since then, he has supported hundreds of people at the end of life, along with the family members and loved ones walking alongside them.
His work reflects deep commitment, compassion, and practical care during one of life’s most tender transitions. Through his leadership and service, Henry brings a wealth of experience to conversations about dying, support, and the human need for presence, dignity, and understanding.
