Gopali is a grounded, warm, and uplifting teacher whose presence leaves a lasting impression on those who practice with her. A long-time Murwillumbah local, she has been teaching yoga for more than 14 years and is the owner of Free Flow, where she is devoted to fostering community, connection, and a safe space for people to heal, unravel, and reconnect with inner strength and peace.
Her classes are shaped by Vinyasa Flow and Yin Yoga, and further enriched by her love of music and dance, which bring fluidity and expression to her teaching. She is also deeply drawn to embodied movement and its powerful capacity for healing, creating an atmosphere of safety and permission for students to soften, rest deeply, and express their inner world through movement.
In addition to teaching yoga, Gopali holds a degree in counselling and has a strong interest in mental health, both of which have deepened her understanding of yoga and influenced the way she teaches. Her classes are designed to support the nervous system, encourage inner spaciousness and gentleness, and nurture students on every level of being.
A committed Ayurvedic practitioner, Gopali studied formally with Dr. Roopa Rao and completed her Advanced Diploma of Ayurveda with the AIHFE, where she received the award for Most Outstanding Performance. For the past six years, she has been sharing Ayurvedic treatments and wisdom throughout the Northern Rivers, weaving this ancient knowledge into her classes and offerings.
Inspired by her studies with Shiva Rea and a lifelong love of movement, Gopali’s teaching reflects a deep devotion to the healing arts. She holds space that feels nourishing, grounding, and profoundly connective, inviting students to return to themselves, embody their humanness, and rediscover the sacred dance of being alive.
