Gisela von Keiser’s path first took her to Asia, before she and her husband, Rainer Grenkowitz, established a therapeutic center on Lake Constance in the 1980s. She completed her in-depth training as a contemplative psychotherapist at the renowned Naropa University in Boulder, Colorado — the only Buddhist university in the West. From 1994 to 2004, she worked in Frankfurt as a contemplative psychologist and also served as a lecturer, supervisor, and training therapist for the Karuna Training.
Since 2004, Gisela has devoted herself fully to Bali Mandala, which became both a refuge and a home for her. There, as well as in Europe and Australia, she regularly offered Open Dharma retreats designed to support participants in finding deep inner stillness and opening to spiritual growth.
