
Geshe Ngawang Tashi Bapu is President of the Siddhartha Foundation in Mundgod and a respected Tibetan Buddhist teacher with extensive academic and monastic experience. He served as Principal Chant Master at the Dalai Lama’s Drepung Loseling Monastery and spent 15 years teaching Buddhist Philosophy at the Central Institute of Himalayan Culture Studies in India, including six years as Director of the institute.
Known worldwide for his Tibetan “Deep Voice,” he was the first Tibetan Buddhist monk to receive a Grammy nomination for his recording Tibetan Master Chants. In recent years, he has shared his teachings across the United States through privately funded visits, offering talks and workshops at Buddhist and spiritual centers and universities.
His sessions range from introductory talks to in-depth workshops on compassion, wisdom, Tibetan Buddhist philosophy, yoga, meditation, and culture. He also presents and teaches Tibetan Deep Voice chanting, and currently focuses on “Living a life of happiness,” offering a secular approach to creating a more joyful life.
