Eliza first encountered yoga in 2002 while studying at Carnegie Mellon and Oxford Universities. What began as relief from chronic back pain soon became a deeper appreciation for how yoga reveals the links between physical, mental, and emotional patterns, while also supporting the development of the mind.
In 2007, she entered her formal Buddhist path, which took her to India, Nepal, and Europe for years of study with many teachers, especially His Holiness the Sakya Trinzin the 41st and Her Eminence Jetsun Kushok Chimey Luding Rinpoche. After years of cumulative meditation retreat, she became an authorized Kum Nye Facilitator through the Nyingma Institute and is also an internationally certified Iyengar Yoga Instructor.
Eliza serves as the copyeditor and proofreader for the Namchak Translation Committee and feels deeply grateful to be connected with Gochen Tulku Sangnak Rinpoche and his expansive vision. In her work as a Kum Nye facilitator, she emphasizes inner healing and greater well-being through the cultivation of embodiment and presence.
“Kum Nye is like magic you put into your body that unfolds through time.”
