My name is Dimitri, and I come from a multicultural lineage rooted in Crete, Lebanon, and France. My name means “he who loves the earth,” a meaning that reflects the way I move through life with reverence for beauty, kindness, and compassion.
I am grateful to live on Salt Spring Island, on the traditional territories of the Coast Salish People, specifically the Tsawout, Wsàeć, Quw'utsun, and Stz'uminus territories. Life has taken me along many winding paths, and through both profound struggle and deep learning, I have been guided by Elders and young ones alike. Their support helped me grow through challenge, while also teaching me to listen closely to plants, animals, and people.
My work supports Iboga’s teachings of sovereignty and alignment with Spirit, grounded in humility and a continuing dedication to humanity remembering its innate divinity. I believe each of us carries a powerful eternal flame, and that when it is allowed to emerge, it gives shape to the poetry of life. Without reclaiming ourselves within the relational web of all creation, life cannot fully express itself.
As an initiated Stick Diviner within the Dagara system and tradition, I offer a healing approach rooted in animism and the understanding that all life exists in continuous relationship between the material and spiritual worlds. I am also a land tender, beekeeper, permaculturist, bodyworker, and passionate student of ancestral skills. In addition, I have worked extensively in the addiction recovery field.
Above all, I am a father who prays each day for future generations to inherit a world where beauty thrives and the ways of old continue to bloom.
