Blagomira (Bonnie) Kostova is deeply inspired by life and by the untapped potential within human nature. From a young age, she has been drawn to the realm of spirits and mystery, and has since devoted herself to exploring the ancient pagan rituals and traditions of her native Bulgaria, along with the medicinal qualities of the herbs and plants found there.
After graduating in journalism, she followed her natural curiosity into a range of professional paths until, 14 years ago, she encountered her first Ayahuasca ceremony. That experience became a powerful revelation, bringing together many of the threads of her personal search for self-knowledge and for a deeper relationship with Mother Nature. She was fortunate to share that first journey with her brother, and together they began a path of self-discovery and healing, attending medicine ceremonies across Europe, meeting carriers of different indigenous lineages, and eventually organizing and facilitating medicine ceremonies in their homeland. During this time, she also apprenticed in the Red Road tradition, completing a four-year cycle of Vision Quest and Sun Dance, and receiving the honor of hosting the European Sun Dance on their land.
Blagomira is currently apprenticing within the Shipibo-Konibo tradition, which she sees as a beautiful example of how Ayahuasca medicine can serve healing in a sacred and responsible way. Since joining the Soltara family in the summer of 2022, she has been grateful to witness the safe container created for guests, as well as the support offered to the Shipibo community, working with Maestros from a long lineage of healers and caring for them with respect and honor.
Blagomira is also a breathwork practitioner, and over the past three years has been exploring mindfulness and meditation as additional tools for navigating life and reaching the fullest potential that lives within each of us as an expression of boundless human nature. She is currently completing training in self-limiting beliefs practices, bringing this knowledge into her work as a trauma-informed plant medicine facilitator. Positive and open-hearted, Blagomira brings kindness and warmth to her presence, with a natural gift for holding compassionate space and guiding others toward their own truth and value. She believes music is another form of healing, and is often seen playing her ukulele or learning and singing new songs with a bright smile.
