Many people know me as a yoga teacher, retreat leader, and mother. Those are parts of my story, but they are not the whole of it—and neither are they the whole of yours.
I’m Autumn Adams, and I know what it feels like to burn out while trying to be everything for everyone. I also know this: you do not need to work harder, keep putting yourself last, or settle for a life that leaves you depleted, disconnected, and unfulfilled. The life that feels vibrant, meaningful, and true is not far away. It begins the moment you choose it.
In 2014, I founded Ambuja Yoga with a purpose that went beyond offering an escape. I wanted to create a space where women could return to themselves. Over the past 13 years, I have held spaces for women to rediscover who they are, release the layers of “should,” and reconnect with what they genuinely want. On my retreats, you will of course practice yoga with views of the beach or beside a mountain stream—but more importantly, you will remember what it feels like to be fully yourself again: rested, clear, and more alive.
My experience has shown me that transformation does not happen when you are running on empty or always placing everyone else first. It begins when you decide to prioritize yourself—not out of selfishness, but as an act of self-love and a way of reclaiming your life. That is why my retreats are designed to give you permission to breathe, trust yourself, and release the expectations you have been carrying.
I draw on my background in dance, hatha and vinyasa yoga, yoga nidra, coaching, and mentoring to guide meaningful personal exploration. My teaching is about more than alignment or poses; it is about helping you release old beliefs, move from “I can’t” to “How can I?”, and meet life’s uncertainty with grace and humor. I also teach manifestation in a grounded way: not as wishful thinking, but as clarity paired with aligned action. When your nervous system is settled enough to become clear about what you want, your mind begins to notice what matches that intention, and you take real steps forward.
Women often arrive at my retreats feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, and unsure whether they can ever find their spark again. They leave knowing the life they long for is not distant or out of reach—it has been within them all along, waiting to rise to the surface.
I am an E-RYT 500 and YACEP, and the author of The Little Book of Mudra Meditations. My work has been featured in Insider, Shape, Zappos, Asia Spa, Direct Holiday, and Bend Nest. Still, what matters most is what unfolds at the retreats themselves—more than 40 so far, with over 700 women participating—where women leave with clarity, peace, and practical tools they can carry into everyday life.
When I am not leading women’s retreats, you may find me hiking in the mountains, swimming in the sea, or chasing after my free-spirited little boy. I believe in a life rooted in nature, adventure, and, above all, connection to myself—and I want that for you too.
