Ashwani Bhanot grew up in India in a family of yogis, so yoga became an integral part of her life from early childhood. She was fortunate to train with masters from the Himalayas as well as teachers from the West.
Her expertise spans a range of yoga styles. She has a particular focus on Sivananda, Hatha, Ashtanga, and Kundalini yoga. She is also deeply grounded in the traditions of Sivananda yoga and the Bihar Yoga School.
Compassion is at the heart of her teaching. Whether working with beginners or advanced students, she meets each person individually. Her aim is to help practitioners build strength, flexibility, and inner peace, while also reducing stress, restoring energy, and cultivating a positive outlook on life. Drawing from direct source teachings, she offers a profound understanding of yoga philosophy.
She has presented the concept of “Yoga at Work” in numerous organizations, including the United Nations (UNAIDS, UNDP, UNICEF), The Ford Foundation, and several embassies such as the Canadian High Commission, the Chinese Embassy, and the Slovenian Embassy.
For the past year, she has also offered yoga teacher training in Osnabrück and at Lake Constance with a highly specialized team. This was created with the intention of training yoga teachers in an authentic and traditional way.
