For 20 years, Annett has worked with international groups on cross-cultural communication. Over the past nine years, her practice has been rooted primarily in the spirit of NVC, and she is certified by the CNVC. As a trainer and conflict coach/mediator, she has worked across a wide range of settings, including corporate environments, NGOs, schools, prisons, spiritual groups, couples, and families.
She is passionate about creating spaces where people can move through grievances and reconnect more deeply with themselves, others, and life. Annett has facilitated healing circles in varied contexts, including schools and universities following incidents of suicide and sexual abuse, as well as in an international grassroots online community after an escalated conflict called for deep listening to rebuild connection and trust.
About eight years ago, she encountered Restorative Circles as developed in Brazil and found her path into Restorative Justice. Today, as a facilitator of restorative dialogues, her work often involves engaging with both sides, survivors and offenders alike, along with their respective communities.
In 2012, she contributed to the German documentary Beyond Punishment and more recently supported the U.S./German documentary To Germany with Love, both exploring the experiences of people on either side of murder.
Annett is inspired by the transformative power of NVC, by exploring conflict, and by the possibility of moving through it as another doorway to deeper connection. She values holding spaces for dialogue where vulnerability can unfold. Together with colleagues in Germany, she leads several residential workshops on NVC and Living Compassion, creating learning environments where depth, playfulness, compassion, laughter, and tears can flow naturally. She also loves traveling, spending time in nature, and being with friends and family.
