
Andrea Sherman, Ph.D. brings deep expertise and a compassionate perspective to the study of aging, palliative care, and end-of-life support. As a gerontologist, educator, trainer, and end-of-life doula, her work is rooted in helping people navigate later life with dignity, meaning, and care. She is also the co-author of Transitional Keys: Rituals to Improve Quality of Life for Older Adults, a book that reflects her thoughtful and human-centered approach.
Honored as a Fellow of both the Gerontological Society of America and the New York Academy of Medicine, Andrea has contributed her knowledge as a Curriculum Consultant to the Bronx VA and the National Center for Creative Aging. Through teaching, including Aging for Beginners at Westchester Meditation Center, she offers clear, practical guidance on aging, caregiving, and life transitions, creating space for learning that is both informative and deeply supportive.
