With a background in neuroscience, Adam brings a thoughtful blend of scientific understanding and lived contemplative practice to his teaching. His path into Buddhism began in 2001, when he first encountered the Theravadan lineage of Goenka-ji and took part in many 10-day silent retreats. In 2002, he ordained in the Thai Forest tradition of Ajahn Chah, then spent two years living full-time in a forest monastery.
This rare combination of academic training and immersive monastic experience shapes the depth and clarity of his approach. Participants can expect teachings grounded in discipline, insight, and the quiet wisdom of sustained practice.
