
Aaron Brandes, known as Brando, LCSW, M.Ed., is a movement educator, psychotherapist, and bodyworker whose work centers on healing, resilience, and the power of somatic practice. Drawing on more than 20 years of experience in dance, body-based therapies, and mindful movement, he brings a deeply embodied approach to both teaching and therapeutic work. His background includes international teaching and performance, where he has shared movement as a pathway to emotional and physical well-being.
Brando also completed a two-year residency and teacher training at the renowned Kripalu Center, an experience that further shaped his commitment to integrating mindful movement into his practice. In addition, he co-authored an essay on the therapeutic applications of touch, published in Resistance and Support: Contact Improvisation @ 50, edited by Ann Cooper Albright, and presented at CI@50 at Oberlin College.
