Summary

Begin your day with yoga practice, continue on with a delicious brunch after it and then you are off to a great start with the right energy for the rest of the day! Some afternoons we will go hiking along the beach or inland through protected pine forests. Other afternoons we practice a recuperative yoga practice (Yin Yoga, or Yoga with a focus on healing sounds, organs, glands and chakras).

During these sessions, we also refine our breath and discuss interesting issues on yoga-philosophy. Every day there will be enough time to experience local scenery and its beauty with all senses and fill up your body with new energy. The mild, Mediterranean climate energizes all year round.

Teachers

Sonja Rogge
Sonja is a lawyer and yoga teacher and completed her yoga training with Isabella Welsch in the years 2001 – 2005 after having practised yoga for over 10 years. Throughout this time, her practice has always been a source of calmness and strength, so she felt the desire to share that experience and knowledge with others.

Sonja has visited the Atha Yoga Retreat House in Altafulla several times because, besides the Mediterranean climate, she also appreciates the beautiful nature and likes to explore new hiking trails along the coast and inland with Isabella Welsch. She’s looking forward to teaching and hiking with you!

Isabella Welsch
Isabella Welsch or another atha yoga teacher guides the group through a program, with carefully designed atha yoga-classes on an intermediate level. She teaches her own, modern blend of different styles.

Many poses allow you to adjust to an easier or more challenging level. We need to know a bit about physical and psychological fitness of a participant: Please let us know ahead if you have any conditions.
