Summary

Come & join us for 5 glorious days & nights in sunny Spain at a lovely little olive mill near the sea an hour north of Alicante airport.

Practice yoga twice a day, join us for guided hikes in the countryside and mountains, nourish your body with delicious healthy food & sunshine, rest by the pool or take a 'guilt-free snooze' in your room!, enjoy chats with like-minded people, pamper yourself with therapies, join the guided bike ride or explore the nearby very pretty town of Altea and it's beach.

Yoga and Hiking are the perfect combination. Hiking is great for the heart and lungs but on its own can create tight leg muscles and an aching back. But with the help of yoga, you’ll improve your flexibility & strength, increase your mobility and deepen your breathing. Hence the gaps left by hiking are perfectly balanced by yoga.

Our Yoga & Hiking Holidays take place in the coastal town of Altea, an hour north of Alicante. Altea is surrounded by coast-hugging mountains that tumble to the sea and is considered to be one of the prettiest towns in this area with cosy whitewashed houses lining narrow cobbled streets, little artisan studios, a stunning blue-domed church and a gorgeous coastline.

According to the World Health Organisation, this is one of the healthiest places on Earth!

We’re delighted to host this retreat near the sea at an Olive mill that’s been owned by a local Spanish family for over 300 years.

The mill is now a peaceful country house hotel with awesome views to the sea & mountains and located just a short walk to the very pretty ‘old town’ of Altea & it’s beach.

There’s a pool in the garden, a small gym & sauna, a light-filled yoga studio and a restaurant where we’ll dine most nights.

Teachers

Nicole Stone
Yoga Teacher & founder of Yoga Breaks in Spain. Nicole qualified with an “Excellent” grade Diploma following 2 years of training with FRYOG (Friends of Yoga International). Now with over 15 years teaching experience and further training with super inspiring yoga teachers – Meghan Currie, Shiva Rea, Claire Missingham, Liz Lark, Godfri Devereux & others whose names you may not recognise but have been equally enlightening.

Dionne
Shortly after qualifying as a fitness instructor in 1997, Dionne began to practice yoga and soon noticed how her body felt supple & strong and her mind calm, clear & focused. So in 2014 headed to India to begin teacher training at Aananda Yoga School in Mysore (accredited by the Yoga Alliance) where she was tutored by the incredibly knowledgeable Yogacharya Bharath Shetty. More recently in 2016, Dionne returned to her Guru to complete her 500-hour Advanced teacher training.

Dionne’s teaching style is friendly, down to earth & accessible to all where the focus is on alignment, breath control and building strength & flexibility for an overall healthier body. Full of instruction and variations, there is something for everyone in Dionne´s classes. With her help and guidance, you’ll be encouraged to find your own yoga path.
