Our ‘Moving with the Animals’ retreat is an opportunity to connect with nature and the animals that wander the land of South Africa. By observing and basking in the atmosphere of the game reserve and moving as one with the animals, we have the chance to tune into ourselves, create more space in the body and move with purpose.

We want you to learn how to move in new ways, in ways that are long forgotten, to help disconnect from the outside world. With an emphasis on discovering new things to rediscover yourself, all your senses will be opened. From stretches with monkeys high in the trees above us, to turn our world upside down with inversion practice whilst zebra stroll past the lodge. Anything is possible whilst we are out in the wild.

We will be nestled away in the Welgevonden Private Game Reserve in the beautiful Tsheshepe Lodge. Nature in all its forms the flow through the camp, from the stream that runs along its base, to the big five that come to drink from it.

Our aim is for you to sit back, relax and allow nature to engulf you!

Dyl is an ex-rugby player who gave up passing the ball for personal training in 2013. While competing in powerlifting, CrossFit and triathlons he grew a love for all forms of health and fitness, as well as a list of injuries which led him to become a yoga teacher in 2016.

With a view that everyone should be able to train for great quality of life and to be able to do anything they set their minds on: from bodybuilding to hiking, long walks on the beach, his main focus is avoiding or fixing an injury. All of this lead to the world of health and fitness retreats, co-hosting and assisting on many expeditions around the world.

With extensive qualifications and experience in anatomy and exercise, Dyl will lead you through a series of core and stretch practices designed to help the body as well as start your journey towards handstands and arm balances.

Molly is a trained chef and nutritionist who takes a deeper look into how food can affect your body from the inside out. Since completing cooking school in 2011 she has gone on to work with international best selling cookbook authors, set up cafes across London, developed menus specifically for athletes and cooked on fitness retreats. Along with having private clients she aims to help everyone improve their life through what they put in their mouths.

With a specific interest in the gut, digestion and how the gut is closely linked to the mind and our emotions, you can expect plenty of food designed to help build our friendly gut bacteria to boost our mood. But above all else, all food on our retreats are specifically designed to be fresh, fuelling, locally sourced and healthy whilst retaining the feeling of slight indulgence.
