Guests are taken out of their UK bound comfort zone and to the high mountains in Châtel where they are allowed to let their adventurous sides take over! By exploring the snow-capped mountains and bordering the edges of Switzerland, our guests will hike through some truly stunning scenery. When we aren’t trekking up mountains we encourage our guests to reconnect with their mind and body with some yoga practice, meditation and by simply sitting and breathing in the energy that surrounds us.
Over the 5 days, we want to educate just as much as allowing our guests to unwind, this way our guests can take this new knowledge and sense of calm back to real life. With daily movement, mindfulness and meditation we hope that guests can fully switch off from the outside world. We use simple laid out breathing techniques during our guided meditation sessions to really help people enter this state, whilst trying to encourage them to recreate this atmosphere back in their everyday lives.
Not only is the emphasis on the state of mind and thought important, but also nutrition and food. We deliver healthy nutritious meals that are designed and cooked by Molly. Each one is carefully thought through to ensure that the guests are left feeling energised but with a slight sense of indulgence! Again keeping with the idea of education, Molly will lead a nutrition and cooking workshop where the guests had a chance to get hands-on in the kitchen and pick our brains about all things food!
Lastly, installing a daily morning yoga practice to the retreat ensures that our guests get into a routine. It’s this sense of routine that we want our guests to try and continue back at home. Morning movement is by far the best way to naturally wake the body up.
