Join Ann & Dan Blackburn as they guide you through a retreat designed to melt away the tension in your body and bring clarity to your mind. This retreat will inspire you to live a vibrant life through a unique and balanced blend of intentional programming and many opportunities for exciting adventures on your own. Throughout the week, you will enjoy delicious and healthy meals, SomaYoga classes (a powerful mind-body practice), and a masterclass experience that will teach you how to balance your time and energy on what matters most to you. Our daily yoga classes include SomaYoga Therapy, which is a powerful mind-body practice blending Somatics, therapeutics, nervous system re-education, classic yoga practices, and meditation. We will meet you where you are in your practice, designing each session to fit your needs. No yoga experience is necessary – practices are tailored to each individual.

I have been a student of yoga for 35 years, teaching for 10 years, and completed my Yoga Therapy certification (C-IAYT) through Yoga North’s International SomaYoga Institute in 2016. I weave yoga practices, somatics, Ayurveda, energy work through my life and into all of my classes, private sessions, and retreats that I lead. My purpose is to help my students/clients find their inner strengths, tap into their brilliance, and learn practices to find balance in every area of their lives. Movement, pranayama, meditation, mudras, and mantras are some of the yoga practices that are woven throughout classes. We are so powerful when given the awareness and tools. I am blessed to share this work with my family and community.

I’ve been a student of health and wellness since I can remember. Having a deep curiosity about the human body and physiology brought me to the Body Therapy Institute 30 years ago to pursue massage therapy and became a deep tissue therapist in Raleigh NC with an emphasis on chronic and acute pain. My admiration of eastern culture and alternative health have remained constant. I completed my 500-hour yoga teacher training with the Yoga North International SomaYoga Institute, where I am currently completing my Yoga Therapy Certification. In addition to teaching group classes and working with private clients, I also am an executive coach and facilitate relationship-building projects with organizations. My wife, Ann, and I have been supporting people’s goals of wellbeing for over 25 years and we own Tula Yoga Wellness in St. Paul, Minnesota. We have three kids each of whom give me pause to reflect on the many blessings and opportunities in life.
