Master a medically supported approach to supporting bone health through yoga.
Join pioneering osteoporosis specialist Loren Fishman, M.D., and yoga teacher Liz Larson for an immersive, hands-on training at Kripalu focused on teaching the Yoga vs. Osteoporosis series safely and effectively.
During this in-person weekend, you will build a deeper understanding of the poses through direct practice. Refine alignment, explore adaptations, and learn how to guide others with clarity, precision, and care. In practicum sessions, you’ll have the opportunity to teach in a supportive setting while receiving real-time feedback from Dr. Fishman, Liz Larson, and senior members of their teaching team.
Assessment is based on your ability to integrate the method’s core principles into your teaching. You’ll learn how to instruct a range of pose variations clearly and safely, meeting students where they are without needing to demonstrate every version yourself.
For those pursuing certification, this Kripalu training is one part of a two-part program that also includes a required online session held June 26–28. More information about the optional online portion is available through the program’s registration process.
NOTE: Both parts of the program are designed for yoga teachers and yoga therapists, yet the training is open to everyone, regardless of certification status or prior yoga experience.
NOTE: The two-weekend certification program is approved for 20 hours CEU by The International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT). Those who complete certification will have the option to be listed as certified teachers.
