Set in the peaceful, inspiring, and nature-rich surroundings of Centre Lothlorien, this week offers a chance to relax deeply and reconnect with your inner self through Indian meditation techniques.
Today, yoga is often associated mainly with physical postures and a practice that stays within the studio. Here, however, you will experience Indian Classical Yoga as it is taught in India, where yoga is truly understood as a way of life.
This retreat is dedicated to relaxation and reflection. Although many of us already approach life with awareness and a desire for personal growth, we do not always take the time needed for real change to unfold. With forests, open fields, lakes, streams, and valleys all around, and no people in sight, the setting offers the perfect space to return to yourself.
From Monday to Friday, morning activities run from 09:30 to 12:30 and include workshops, asana, and pranayama. Each day also includes a meditative walk. In addition, you may join yoga classes in the morning from 07:30 to 08:30.
The week is taught in English.
The retreat will be led by Pinky More and Richard Slager.
Pinky was born in Mumbai, India, where she completed the most advanced yoga teacher programme at The Yoga Institute. After several years of working and travelling internationally, she settled in the Netherlands to share Indian Classical Yoga, the traditional form of yoga. In Kerala, India, Pinky studied Ayurveda and began offering Ayurvedic massages. Since 2012, she has been organising yoga retreats at Centre Lothlorien. In 2019, she established the affiliation between The Yoga Institute and Centre Lothlorien. Today, alongside leading her own yoga teacher training courses, she teaches in several European countries and takes part in yoga programmes in Dubai, Ghana, and India.
Richard is responsible for running the yoga retreats and yoga teacher training courses at Centre Lothlorien, The Yoga Institute France. Since 2002, he has spent much of his time at Centre Lothlorien and knows all the special places in the surrounding area. In Kerala, India, Richard studied the basics of Ayurveda and herbology. He completed yoga teacher training at The Yoga Institute in Mumbai. He now teaches the Yoga Teacher Training Course at Centre Lothlorien, organises courses on the philosophy of yoga and Ayurveda, and leads practical workshops on balanced eating, the use of local herbs, and the preparation of oils and other herbal preparations.
Courses at Centre Lothlorien are generally held from Monday morning to Friday. It is possible to arrive earlier or stay longer. For a course week, arrival is on Sunday and departure on Saturday.
Accommodation prices depend on the type of stay you choose. A double room with full board costs from €420 per person per course week (6 nights).

There are three wooden log cabins located along the upper path. Each cabin features one room with a double sofa bed (1.40 x 2.00 m), a single bed (70 cm x 2.00 m), and a table with two chairs. Please bring your own bed linen, including a bottom sheet and pillowcases, as well as kitchen linen. A linen package with duvets can be rented for €35 per week; please request this when booking. If you prefer not to cook, you are welcome to dine at the Chateau.
During school holidays, rentals are available only by the week, with changeover on Saturday or Sunday. We ask that you leave the cottage clean and tidy on departure; otherwise, a cleaning fee of €45 will be charged. Pets are not allowed in the cottage.
Arrival is between 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM. If you plan to eat at the Chateau on your arrival day, please check in before 6:30 PM, as dinner is served at 6:30 PM. Check-out is before 10:00 AM.

The house has electricity, but no running water. Guests use the sanitary facilities behind the holiday home, approximately 50 meters away, just like the guests of the other cottages. There you will find a shower, toilet, a four-burner gas appliance, and washing-up facilities.
