This retreat brings together yoga and rock climbing in a way that supports strength, balance, flexibility, and mindfulness, all while you stay at a campground surrounded by the beauty of the Eastern Sierra. After a refreshing hot shower, you’ll be just minutes from excellent restaurants, shops, and everything else Mammoth Lakes has to offer.

WHAT’S INCLUDED

  • Three yoga sessions
  • Two days of guided climbing instruction with AMGA guides
  • Three nights of camping under the stars
  • All climbing equipment
  • Optional multipitch day available upon request

TOWN AMENITIES

Camping in Mammoth Lakes, California means easy access to plenty of conveniences and extras, including restaurants, shops, grocery stores, massage, hot springs, a movie theatre, and nightly entertainment.

CAMP LIFE

You’ll stay in a group of adjacent campsites with plenty of space for tents or car camping. The campground includes picnic tables, fire rings, hot showers, flushing toilets, cell service, internet, and potable water. Firewood will be provided each night, along with a few shared stoves, pots, aluminum foil, pans, and other basic cooking items. We recommend bringing a cooler for your food, plus a cup, bowl, and spoon.

WHAT TO BRING

  • Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, beanie, and good walking shoes
  • Water bottles or a hydration bladder with at least 2–3 liters of water
  • Small backpack for personal gear
  • Food, water, and clothing for the day
  • Summer clothing for warm days and cooler evenings, including lightweight sun-protective layers, a swimsuit, a warm puffy jacket, and a rain jacket
  • Climbing shoes, helmet, harness, and belay device
  • Sleeping bag, pad, tent, camp chair, headlamp, pots, pans, cookware, and cooler

If you do not own climbing gear, any of these items can be provided at no charge. Camping gear may also be rented for a small fee, but please let us know in advance.

ITINERARY

Friday: Arrive at the Mammoth Lakes campsite from 4:00 PM onward. There is no exact arrival time, since many guests will be traveling in that evening. You may also arrive Saturday morning if needed. After registration and paperwork, there will be time to get fitted for any climbing gear you need, set up your tent or sleeping area, and settle in. Once it gets dark, we’ll gather around the fire and start getting to know one another.

Saturday & Sunday: Begin with breakfast, followed by 8:00 AM morning yoga. After that, the group will split up and head to the crags for a full day of climbing, instruction, and skill-based workshops. In the late afternoon, return to camp for dinner, relaxation, and time around the fire.

Monday: Enjoy breakfast, pack up your gear and tents, then head to one of Mammoth’s beautiful lakes for a longer restorative yoga session with optional acroyoga. We’ll say our goodbyes at 1:00 PM.

If you have any questions, please get in touch. Looking forward to a wonderful weekend together!
