Spend a memorable weekend in Bishop, California, with a community of adventurous women for a retreat that blends yoga, climbing, camping, and plenty of time outdoors. Held in our hometown, this destination gives us the advantage of local knowledge — from the crags and mountains we know best to the hidden places to soak, eat, and hike. As an added highlight, the retreat takes place during the annual Mule Days, so if you feel like heading into town after climbing, you may catch rodeos, barn dances, arts and crafts, music, and plenty of festive energy.
You’ll be guided by our full team of AMGA certified female guides, all experienced in matching each participant with the right climbs. This retreat welcomes climbers and yogis of every level, from complete beginners to advanced participants. After a full day outside, unwind around the campfire, connect with new friends, and watch for shooting stars overhead.
TOWN AMENITIES: Bishop is our headquarters and hometown for a reason. Located at 4,000 ft. in a deep valley between two massive mountain ranges with 14,000 ft. peaks rising on either side, the scenery is truly breathtaking. The area also offers world-class rock climbing, along with everything you need for a great getaway: excellent restaurants and coffee shops, a brewery, distillery, large grocery store, outdoor shops, and nearby artesian swimming holes and hot springs.
CAMP LIFE: We will stay at Browns Millpond Campground just outside Bishop, with magnificent mountain views and convenient amenities including electricity, water, hot showers, coin-op laundry, a pond, horseshoe pits, hiking trails, and mountain bike trails.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW MANY PARTICIPANTS COME BY THEMSELVES? Most women attend our retreats solo — about 70%. If you are unsure about joining alone, know that you will not feel alone here. These retreats create a particularly strong sense of community, which is one of the reasons we love them so much.
WHAT IS THE AVERAGE AGE OF THE WOMEN WHO ATTEND? We welcome a wide range of ages. The average tends to fall between 25 and 55, though we have had participants from 13 to their late 60s join us.
WHAT IF I'VE NEVER CLIMBED BEFORE? As a climbing school, teaching people to climb safely and confidently is what we do best.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY? We have a very strict cancellation policy.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE WEATHER IS POOR? We do our best to choose dates with good conditions, but weather can still be unpredictable. If climbing is not possible, we will offer alternatives such as anchor building, rappelling, multi-pitch clinics, or hiking. If you are concerned about weather affecting your trip, we recommend purchasing cancel-for-any-reason trip protection, as no refunds are provided for weather-related issues.
CAN I BRING MY PET? Unfortunately, pets are not allowed on any of our group trips or clinics.
WILL I BE ABLE TO LEAD CLIMB? This is decided case by case. Our guides will consider your previous experience, the available lead routes, and your mock leading skills. If learning to lead is one of your goals, let your guides know and they will do their best to give you opportunities during the retreat.
WHAT'S INCLUDED: All rock climbing gear; two 5-6 hour climbing sessions; two yoga classes; 2 nights camping.
