A deeply restorative retreat designed to help you press pause, clear the mental clutter, and return to yourself. Through deep meditation, gentle yoga, journaling, and Vedic knowledge talks, this experience offers practical tools to calm the nervous system, create inner stillness, and reconnect with your creative energy.
CONNECTION
One of the most meaningful gifts of a retreat is the sense of connection it creates. Share meditation sessions, exchange experiences, learn from others, and gather around the campfire with fellow meditators. In this welcoming, communal setting, friendships often grow naturally and last well beyond the weekend.
NATURE
Set within the remarkable regenerative estate of 42 Acres in the Somerset countryside, the retreat unfolds across 173 acres of wild landscape, including ancient woodland, rewilded meadows, and a 7-acre lake. Guests can enjoy outdoor swims, time in the woodland sauna, peaceful walks, and quiet moments of reflection in nature.
42 Acres has been thoughtfully cultivated to reflect nature’s own patterns, supporting productive and self-sustaining ecosystems. Thousands of native trees have been planted alongside orchards, edible hedgerows, and flourishing gardens.
ELEGANT SIMPLICITY IN THE HEART OF NATURE
Accommodation at 42 Acres combines understated style with refined comfort, from converted barns and modern cottages to a peaceful lakeside boat and spacious bell tents. With options to suit a range of budgets, each space has been carefully restored and furnished using sustainable, locally sourced materials. Powered entirely by renewable energy, these settings are designed to honour and preserve the beauty of the surroundings.
EXPLORE THE LAND
Take time to immerse yourself in the landscape. Wander through the woodlands, swim in the lake, unwind in the woodland sauna, or visit the magical treehouse. You can also meditate in the traditional Mongolian yurt and come together around the campfire at dusk.
NOURISHMENT
Much of the food served comes directly from 42 Acres’ own permaculture garden, grown organically in harmony with natural rhythms. Private chefs prepare a vibrant seasonal menu that celebrates fresh ingredients and the simple pleasure of eating food straight from the land.
"Incredible knowledge, fantastic company and luscious food, in an amazing place. A sublime and nourishing weekend."
