A Feminine Journey of Somatic Awakening, Mayan Wisdom & Ceremonial Artistry
May 21st - 30th, 2026
Lake Atitlán, Guatemala
There is an ancient prayer in the human heart: a longing to come back into harmony with the Earth. Across many traditions, this remembrance is spoken of as a Rainbow Prophecy — a time when separation softens and we recall our belonging within the great circle of Life. We are nature, and we are one with all things.
This 10-day pilgrimage is devoted to that remembering. On the sacred shores of Lake Atitlán, we gather for a rite of passage that invites us to slow down, listen deeply, and renew our vows with life. Through somatic awakening, ceremonial artistry, and the wisdom of Mayan elders, we are supported in reconnecting with the intelligence of the body, the land, the waters, and the deeper guidance that lives within.
Held on the ancestral lands of the Tz’utujil Maya, this retreat takes place in one of the most spiritually significant landscapes in Guatemala, where volcanic mountains rise from the lake’s deep waters. Our home is The Mystical Yoga Farm, an eco-retreat center overlooking Lake Atitlán and the surrounding volcanoes. As the only zero-waste retreat center on the lake, it is rooted in sustainability and strong community relationships.
Throughout the journey, we weave together somatic practices, feminine wisdom teachings, rites of passage, cacao ritual, movement, meditation, and group processes inspired by Gestalt psychotherapy and art therapy. We will also be guided by Mayan wisdom keepers, including Nana Ixkik, Nana Rosalia, and Nana Amalia, whose teachings and ceremonial presence carry living threads of ancestral remembrance.
Our days are shaped by the seven colors of the chakra system, moving from root to crown in a root-to-rise pilgrimage. This unfolding supports inner transformation, deeper embodiment, and a renewed relationship with beauty, purpose, truth, and life itself.
This is a passage for women returning to the temple of the body and to the medicine of sisterhood. Rather than arriving as visitors to a place, we enter into relationship with the land, the people, and the traditions that continue to shape this sacred territory. Ceremonial artistry becomes a living practice through altar building, flowers, prayer, sound, movement, and the elements of nature.
Cacao is a central ally throughout the retreat. We will visit Mama Amor, a women’s cacao collective, and participate in a Mayan fire ceremony with cacao and cacao divination. Additional experiences include sacred faja initiation, obsidian healing, conscious conception teachings, flower baths, yoni steams, herbal beauty rituals, sunrise pilgrimage, and a temazcal ceremony.
Each morning includes an optional yoga practice in one of the beautiful yoga shalas. The retreat also includes live online gatherings before and after the in-person journey: an opening community space from May 10-20, a virtual gathering on the New Moon, Sunday May 17th, and a closing integration circle on Sunday June 14th.
Participants will be held with care and professionalism by Munay and Dorothy, experienced facilitators who have spent many years supporting women’s processes and who lived in Lake Atitlán for years. Their guidance is rooted in both ancestral lineages and contemporary knowledge.
This retreat is for women called to heal emotional patterns, awaken sensual vitality and creativity, deepen their relationship with the sacred, and step into a new chapter with clarity and purpose. Together, we remember that healing happens in relationship — with ourselves, with one another, and with the living Earth.
