Space to breathe. On this weekend retreat, you are invited to step back from daily life, settle into your body, soothe your nervous system, and retreat from the pressures of modern living.
Gayles Farm in the Seven Sisters coastal park offers a peaceful setting for these intentions, surrounded by rolling land, coast, forest, lovingly prepared vegetarian meals, mindful yoga practice, and wide open skies. It is one of my favourite places to hold space for connection, relaxation, and restoration, with the hope of a few laughs around the dinner table too.
The teaching gently explores the eight limbs of yoga as a framework for deepening our relationship with ourselves on and off the mat, from the best-known elements of asana and pranayama to the subtler practices of sanyama.
Our asana practice blends different yoga styles, including the slow flow of Hatha Flow and Vinyasa Flow, alongside the grounded, fluid, loosening qualities of somatic yoga. All physical practice is offered with relaxed yet clear guidance, so you can feel supported, autonomous, and soothed throughout your yoga practice.
The weekend schedule is intentionally spacious, giving you room to step away from doing and settle into non-doing. This is not a retreat with a crowded timetable or intense, physically demanding yoga. You are free to do as you wish, but there will be no teaching on headstands or gravity-defying hand balances. A sample Saturday schedule is below and may change each year.
I look forward to welcoming you to this retreat.
Step back, drop in, and chill out.
