A week of self-inquiry on the Olympic Peninsula invites you to question the beliefs that fuel fear, distrust, control, and suffering — and to discover what freedom feels like in your body, not just in your mind.
Join Grace Bell and Friends for an immersive retreat with The Work of Byron Katie, parts work, and somatic awareness in a beautiful edge-of-the-continent setting. This is a living inquiry: four questions, your answers, and a steady return to what is true.
Rather than trying to push fear away, this retreat offers a different path. You’ll explore how to stop resisting life, soften the exhausting habit of arguing with reality, and rest into clarity without needing years more of therapy or pretending everything is fine. Through embodied practice, you’ll work with the felt sense from the neck down, allowing the nervous system to remember calm and the heart to meet life with more trust.
This retreat is for you if you’ve already done a lot of personal growth work and still find yourself caught in old fears; if you’re tired of knowing better but not living better; if you’re in a major life transition; or if you’re curious about Byron Katie’s The Work, Internal Family Systems, or somatic approaches in a supportive, sustained container. It’s also for anyone drawn to the deeper questions of life: Who am I? Why am I here? What is going on?
By the end of the week, you will have the chance to:
The retreat begins on Sunday, August 8th, 2026, with arrival and a light supper. The first session starts at 7:00 pm. Please plan to stay through noon on the final morning so you can fully receive the closing. To avoid rushing, it is suggested not to book a flight before 7:00 pm at the earliest; some guests may choose to stay overnight in Seattle near the airport.
A simple and delicious menu will be provided, and participants will share kitchen and clean-up duties. Two people will support meals and grocery shopping at the start of the retreat. There will not be a personal chef or caterer. If you need alternative foods, please bring what you need or share your requirements a month before the retreat begins. A grocery store is located about 20 minutes away in Forks.
Rooms are assigned on a first come, first served basis, and your deposit holds your spot. When you reserve your place, you’ll be able to choose your preferred room. The remaining balance, minus the $600 deposit, is due on June 10th, 2026.
Grace brings years of experience as a Certified Counselor in Washington State and has spent many years weaving self-inquiry into her work with individuals and groups. Her approach centers on the peace and solutions already present within each of us when we question what we think and believe.
Practicing self-inquiry can change lives. In this retreat, you are invited to question suffering, feel what is, and make peace with your life — one question, one answer, one felt moment at a time.
