Summer Directed Retreat I 2026

A directed retreat at St. Raphaela Center offers a peaceful space for quiet, helping you become more attentive to God’s voice within you and throughout your daily life. Reverent silence is observed across the Retreat Center at all times, including during meals. Each retreatant meets daily with a director for about 45 minutes. These directors are trained to accompany participants with compassion and calm, supporting them in listening deeply and journeying closely with their loving God both during the retreat and after returning home.

The number, type, and length of formal prayer periods each day are shaped by each person’s needs and capacity, and are determined in conversation with the director. Retreatants also receive suggested scripture passages chosen to support their prayer. Ideally, participants will have some experience in meditative prayer, a desire for extended silence, and enough self-awareness to notice their inner movements. All retreatants may also participate in daily liturgy and reconciliation.

Cost: $650 - $750 (depending on room choice)
