DEEP HEALING AND CONNECTION - $4250
This 18-day Shipibo ayahuasca retreat offers an immersive plant medicine experience in the Amazon rainforest, guided by an authentic curandero. Guests stay at the Ayahuasca Foundation’s Riosbo Research Center and take part in 8 ayahuasca ceremonies led by a Shipibo healer. The retreat also includes a sacred plant dieta with either Noya Rao or Bobinsana, creating a direct and personal connection with a powerful plant teacher.
Throughout the program, participants receive natural remedies designed to cleanse and support the mind, body, and spirit according to individual needs. Rooted in the Shipibo healing tradition, this process encourages active participation in your own healing journey by facing negativity, releasing trauma, and addressing deeper causes of imbalance. The result is a holistic path toward meaningful and lasting change.
The retreat is centered on transformative ayahuasca ceremonies and supported by treatments intended to remove the obstacles that interfere with the body’s natural ability to heal. Traditional Shipibo medicine focuses on cleansing and restoring balance across the body’s systems, helping to bring back harmony.
These ceremonies can also open the door to deep emotional healing, especially around long-held trauma, feelings of unworthiness, and patterns that affect relationships. By expanding awareness, they invite participants to let go of limiting interpretations of the past and reconnect with their true nature, which is worthy of love, joy, and happiness.
Designed for those fully committed to their healing process, this retreat and plant dieta calls for courage, dedication, and strength of will. Support is present throughout the journey, every step of the way.
The intention of this 18-day ayahuasca retreat and plant dieta is to restore your highest level of health and your most balanced state of being. Offered for more than a decade, the program has supported profound healing for hundreds of people — and it can for you as well.
The plant dieta offers a chance to connect with guiding wisdom that can inspire and energize your path toward health and happiness. By reconnecting with nature, you reconnect with yourself.
Ayahuasca ceremonies can greatly heighten the senses, allowing participants to see, hear, and feel beyond ordinary perception. This expanded awareness may reveal the deeper roots of personal challenges and open a path toward balance and harmony. The ceremonies also support powerful spiritual connection by accessing energy frequencies that are usually beyond conscious awareness.
During the retreat, participants receive plant treatments aimed at reviving and restoring health. In addition to ayahuasca ceremonies, the Shipibo tradition is complemented by yoga, meditation, cacao ceremonies, breathwork, and art and music therapy. Facilitators explain each treatment and help create a well-rounded healing experience that supports well-being on every level.
Sacred plant dietas in the Shipibo tradition open another dimension of healing. Through the dieta process, participants form a personal relationship with the spirit of either Noya Rao or Bobinsana. These plants are central to the indigenous healing tradition practiced at the retreat center and are regarded as powerful teachers and guides to deep inner wisdom.
The retreat takes place at the Ayahuasca Foundation’s center in the Allpahuayo-Mishana national reserve. Surrounded by the harmony of countless plants and animals, participants stay in comfortable accommodations fully immersed in the wisdom and energy of the rainforest. Hiking, swimming, relaxing in hammocks, watching the river, and listening to birds are all part of the experience.

The Kesten Rono Plant Medicine School features a mini village in a remote part of the rainforest, consisting of small collections of huts spread over a cleared expanse of jungle terrain. Every student is assigned a tambo, or jungle hut, on the property. These huts and the other buildings like the dining room, vapor bath hut, and ceremony maloca, come together to form a peaceful little village for the students, surrounded by the energies of the plants. The student huts provide the basics in accommodations, a bed, a hammock, a desk, and a closet. Each hut also has a bathroom with running water. The simplicity of the rooms resembles an authentic indigenous hut, with some added improvements in comfort.
