The Whisper of the Jungle and the Awakening of the Self
Sacred medicine as a universal bond
Healing is not found in a bottle alone. It arises at the sacred meeting point between human beings and the Cosmos. At our school within the Flower of Life Ayahuasca Healing Center, we honor TSENTSAK: the electric current of divine light that moves through the soul’s meridians. When this energy becomes blocked, the body weakens; when it flows freely, harmony returns. True healing is more than the absence of pain — it is a return to balance with all of existence.
Guardians of transformation
Inside the ceremonial space, ordinary time fades and we connect with the pillars of creation:
Warrior of Light
Becoming a guardian of medicine at Onan Yatishovo is a lifelong commitment. During a two-year immersion in the Peruvian jungle, the student moves beyond observation and becomes a bridge:
This six-week Shamanism and Healing course in Peru is designed for those who wish to explore life purpose and expand beyond ordinary perception. Rooted in ancestral knowledge, it introduces participants to the healing power and esoteric teachings of shamanism, guided by Master Shamans from the Shipibo lineage, who bring more than 30 years of experience.
Participants will learn the methods and icaros songs that carry access to the soul’s genetic information, while also studying sacred geometry, medicinal plants, and their uses for mental and physical ailments. The course asks for an open mind and heart as it explores deeper existential dimensions.
The first week begins with essential dietary practices and physical, mental, and spiritual detoxification under the care of experienced curanderos and maestros. The course includes an introduction to the teachers and 20 main topics, taught through 20 theoretical classes led by a facilitator-translator.
Over the program, participants will take part in 14 ayahuasca ceremonies and 4 San Pedro ceremonies, along with learning about the preparation and use of ayahuasca, purging brews, and other medicinal plants. Each week includes a different plant diet, closely supervised by the shamans.
In the second week, theoretical and practical classes continue according to the needs of the group, with tours to identify medicinal plants and understand their effects on the body. The third week introduces practice with icaros, energy management, sacred spaces, and portals for cosmic connection.
The fourth week deepens the plant diets and personal understanding, while shamans guide participants in healings for physical ailments. Throughout the course, mapacho tobacco is used alongside other medicinal plants for inner transformation.
During the fifth and sixth weeks, participants join guided ayahuasca ceremonies and may sing their own icaros. At the end of the course, they receive a certificate in Amazonian Shamanism. The journey is also intended to help develop healing abilities for those who feel called to it.
Icaros are sacred songs sung by the curandero during ayahuasca ceremonies. They support healing, open visionary states, and connect participants with the energetic body. Their vibrations can awaken intuition, deepen inner listening, and strengthen the bond with spiritual guides and the natural world.
Internal cleansing is an important part of shamanic practice and is closely linked to digestive balance, the nervous system, and overall wellbeing. Nutritional guidance will be provided to support beneficial diets and gut health throughout the journey.
The purge is a process of removing what is heavy, toxic, or unnecessary on both physical and spiritual levels. In Amazonian medicine, it is traditionally associated with purgative plants such as Chacruna and with a broader cycle of cleansing and healing.
During ceremony, participants may enter states where past, present, and future seem to unfold at once. These experiences are understood through both shamanic and scientific perspectives, including altered states of consciousness and changes in perception, emotion, and cognition.
Awareness of interconnectedness and the importance of mindfulness and intention supports the healing process. The ceremony invites reflection, integration, and a deeper understanding of personal experience.
Throughout each ceremony, the Maestro-Shaman builds a connection with participants through the Ayahuasca brew and energetic cleansing on auric, physical, astral, and mental levels. The apprentice shaman is also taught to manage personal energy while respecting the energies of others.
In the closing phase, the apprentice chants the Arkana of protection, followed by the final melody and protection icaros from the shaman to ensure a safe and harmonious ending.
The following are not included in the program: massage therapy, which costs $40; transportation from Iquitos to the Ayahuasca Healing Center for flight delays, missed connections, or unscheduled pickups on the day the retreat begins; and some personal and practice items such as Florida water, tobacco or mapacho, and pipes, which should be brought by each participant or purchased at the center.
Total Cost: $5,999.00 USD
