The Path of the Apprentice

Warrior of light

Becoming a guardian of medicine at Onan Yatishovo is a deep commitment. During a two-year immersion in the Peruvian jungle, the student moves from observer to bridge:

• The Death of the Ego Through fasting and plant diets, the apprentice purifies the body and receives the teachings of the plants directly.
• Mastery of “Non-Time” The student learns to navigate multidimensional worlds and read dreams and visions as guides.
• Reciprocity (Ayni) Healing is a sacred exchange: we heal the Earth as she heals us.

Transformational Journey: 6-Week Shamanic Course

This six-week Shamanism and Healing course in Peru is designed for those who wish to explore their life purpose and enter realms beyond ordinary perception. Guided by Master Shamans from the Shipibo lineage, with more than 30 years of experience, participants are introduced to shamanic wisdom, medicinal plants, and the icaros songs that carry access to the soul’s genetic information.

The course includes 20 theoretical classes led by a facilitator-translator, 14 guided Ayahuasca ceremonies, and 4 guided San Pedro ceremonies. You will also learn about the preparation and use of Ayahuasca, purging brews, and other medicinal plants, while following weekly plant diets under close shamanic supervision.

What to Expect During the Six Weeks

• Week 1: Essential dietary practices begin, along with physical, mental, and spiritual detoxification.
• Week 2: Theoretical and practical classes continue, with tours to identify specific medicinal plants and explore their effects on the body.
• Week 3: Participants begin practicing icaros and learn energy management, sacred space awareness, and dimensional connection.
• Week 4: The diets deepen, understanding of medicinal plants expands, and shamans guide healings for physical ailments.
• Weeks 5 and 6: Guided Ayahuasca ceremonies continue, and participants may sing their own icaros.

Upon completion, participants receive a certificate in Amazonian Shamanism. The journey also includes the development of healing abilities and a deeper connection with the wisdom of the jungle.

Icaros

Icaros are sacred songs sung by the curandero during Ayahuasca ceremonies. They support healing, open visionary states, and help participants connect with the universal flow of life. Through practice, they can awaken intuition, strengthen inner perception, and deepen the relationship with nature and spiritual guidance.

Detoxification and the Purge

Detoxification is an important part of shamanic practice and supports balance in the body and mind. The course includes nutritional guidance to help prepare beneficial diets and support overall well-being. The purge is used to energetically clear what is heavy, toxic, or unnecessary, creating space for healing and clarity.

During the Sacred Ayahuasca Ceremony

During ceremony, the Maestro-Shaman works closely with each participant through the Ayahuasca brew and cleansing at the auric, physical, astral, and mental levels. The closing phase includes the Arkana of protection and closing icaros, helping ensure a safe and harmonious end to the experience.

Not included: massage therapy: $40; transportation from Iquitos to the Ayahuasca Healing Center for flight delays, missed connections, or unscheduled pickups on the day the retreat begins; personal and practice items such as Florida water, tobacco or mapacho, and pipes, which should be brought by each participant or purchased at the center.

Upon completion, participants receive a diploma confirming their participation and the practices completed at the center. This is a serious and comprehensive program that requires discipline and commitment.

Refund/Cancellation Policy

You may cancel within 24 hours of booking for a refund, minus any commission, transaction, or conversion fees. After that period, no refunds are issued. If you cannot attend, please notify us at least one month before the start date to receive a credit toward a future retreat or transfer your reservation to a friend or family member, subject to a 10% fee. No refunds or credits are available if you leave the retreat early.
