Step into a deeply guided 3-day journey that weaves together Andean rituals and Amazonian wisdom in a private setting designed for emotional and spiritual growth. Led by an authentic Shipibo healer, this retreat offers a profound encounter with Ayahuasca in the Sacred Valley, supported by traditional ceremonies that help create a grounded and sacred atmosphere from the very beginning.
The experience begins with a soul-nourishing Coca Leaf Reading and Cleansing Ceremony, offering a meaningful foundation for the days ahead. A private retreat must be booked at least one month in advance, allowing time for all arrangements with the Amazonian shaman.
Day 1: Cusco β Cleansing & Oracle Reading β Ayahuasca Ceremony
You will be picked up from your hotel and taken on a scenic drive to the retreat location in the Sacred Valley. After arrival, there is time to settle in and become familiar with the surroundings before meeting the Maestros, including the Andean Shaman and the Shipibo Master for Ayahuasca. The day continues with a Coca Leaf Reading ceremony, offering insight and self-diagnosis, followed by a cleansing ceremony in the afternoon to connect more deeply with nature and yourself. Before the evening ceremony, a short meditation helps prepare the mind. The Shipibo master introduces the sacred plant, and the first Ayahuasca session lasts 4 to 6 hours. Afterward, there is time to rest and integrate the experience.
Day 2: Integration Session β Second Ayahuasca Ceremony
The morning begins with a breakfast of fresh fruits, followed by conversation with the guide and shaman to help process the visions and deepen your connection with Ayahuasca. In the afternoon, you will spend time in the natural surroundings of the retreat center, strengthening your bond with Mother Earth. Before nightfall, a peaceful meditation brings the mind into stillness. The evening then unfolds in the ceremony room with the second Ayahuasca session, continuing the powerful healing journey from the previous night. Throughout the process, the experienced team remains present to offer support and guidance.
Day 3: Mother Earth Offering β Farewell
After another breakfast with a selection of fruits, you will meet once more with the Ayahuasca Shaman for an integration ceremony. The retreat concludes with a heartfelt offering ceremony led by the Q'eros Master as an expression of gratitude to Mother Earth, followed by transportation back to Cusco.

FAQ about Ayahuasca
What is Ayahuasca?
Ayahuasca is a traditional Amazonian brew known for its powerful healing qualities. Made from the Psychotria viridis plant and the Banisteriopsis caapi vine, it has long been used in indigenous rituals. In guided ceremonies, it is believed to support self-discovery, emotional healing, and personal insight.
What can I expect during an Ayahuasca ceremony?
An Ayahuasca ceremony is an inward journey that may bring visions, reflection, clarity, or personal challenges. Each experience is unique. Traditional music and icaros from Amazonian shamans help shape the ceremonial space, while Andean practices such as coca leaf reading and gratitude offerings create a supportive environment for spiritual exploration.
Is Ayahuasca safe?
Yes, when experienced facilitators guide the process, it can be a safe and transformative journey. A medical form helps assess your situation in advance, and the on-site medical team is there to prioritize your well-being throughout the ceremony.
Are there any medical considerations or contraindications?
Yes. If you have conditions such as heart issues or psychiatric disorders, caution is essential, and some medications may not be compatible with Ayahuasca. Please complete the medical form so any concerns can be reviewed before you join.
How should I prepare for an Ayahuasca ceremony?
Please be in Cusco at least three days before the retreat begins to allow your body to adjust to the altitude. Arriving on the same day is not permitted, as altitude sickness can increase the risks during the ceremony. It is also important to share any health conditions or medications before booking.
Is there a specific diet required before the Ayahuasca ceremony?
Yes. Two weeks before the retreat, avoid pork, alcohol, cannabis, drugs, and spicy foods. One week before, avoid red meat, junk food, sweets, soda, dairy, pickled foods, and caffeine. In the final three days, reduce salt, pepper, and oil. On the morning of the first ceremony, have only a light breakfast that follows these guidelines, and drink water and tea throughout the day.
How can I spiritually prepare myself and cultivate the right mindset for the Ayahuasca ceremony?
Setting a clear intention is strongly encouraged. Reflect on what draws you to the ceremony and what you hope to understand or heal. Mindful practices before the retreat can help you arrive with greater presence. Some shamans also recommend avoiding sexual activity, including masturbation, to preserve energy.
What is the "purge" during Ayahuasca ceremonies?
The purge, which may include vomiting or diarrhea, is often viewed as a cleansing process that releases physical and emotional toxins.
Can Ayahuasca be addictive?
Ayahuasca is not known to be physically addictive. Some participants even report fewer cravings for alcohol or tobacco afterward, though it should always be approached with respect and responsibility.
Is Ayahuasca legal in Peru?
Yes. In Peru, Ayahuasca is legal and recognized as cultural heritage and traditional medicine.
