Spend a full day in the Sacred Valley with a private Ayahuasca ceremony designed as a deeply personal journey of reflection, cleansing, and connection. Guided by an experienced Amazonian Maestro and supported by Andean shamans, this retreat offers a sacred setting for self-discovery amid the dramatic beauty of the Andes.
Ayahuasca Day Ceremony with Cleansing
Your day begins with morning pick-up from your Cusco hotel and a transfer to the Sacred Valley, where the retreat center is located. After arrival, there is time to explore the space and settle into the atmosphere before the ceremonial program begins.
The first step is a Coca Leaf Reading Ceremony, offering guidance and helping you set clear intentions for the day ahead. This is followed by a Cleansing and Flourishing Ceremony, created to deepen your connection with Mother Earth and prepare you for the main Ayahuasca session.
Before the ceremony begins, the Maestro shares insights about the Ayahuasca plant and its traditional use. The Ayahuasca session lasts between 4 and 6 hours and invites deep inner reflection in a carefully held environment. Afterward, you will take part in a special Offering to Mother Earth, expressing gratitude to Mother Earth, the Ayahuasca Plant, the mountains, and the gods.
In the evening, you will be driven back safely to your hotel in Cusco.

Ayahuasca is a powerful traditional Amazonian plant medicine used in shamanic ceremonies. Usually prepared as a tea, it combines the Ayahuasca vine with other plants containing DMT, creating a psychoactive and spiritually transformative experience.
An Ayahuasca ceremony is often a profound inward journey. Participants may experience vivid visions, strong emotions, and deep self-reflection. The experience is different for everyone and may bring feelings of purification, insight into personal challenges, and a stronger sense of connection to the spiritual realm.
Your safety is always a priority, and a dedicated medical team is present throughout the ceremony. Traditional music, known as icaros, is played by Amazonian shamans to support the process and enhance the transformative atmosphere. Alongside the Ayahuasca session, Andean practices such as coca leaf reading and offerings help create a meaningful and sacred healing experience.
Ayahuasca is considered safe when guided by experienced facilitators. If you have specific health concerns, the medical form helps tailor the experience to your needs.
An on-site medical team is available to address concerns and prioritize your well-being throughout the ceremony.
Yes. Participants with conditions such as heart issues or psychiatric disorders should be cautious, as certain medications may interact negatively with Ayahuasca. For this reason, all participants must complete a medical form. Any questions or unclear points can be discussed before booking, with support from the team and medical staff.
It is important to be in Cusco at least 3 days before the retreat begins so your body can adjust to the altitude. If you arrive on the same day as the retreat, you will not be able to join the Ayahuasca ceremony, as this could increase the risk of altitude sickness.
Please also consult your doctor if you have concerns about your health history or current conditions, and share any medications or health issues before booking.
Yes. Two weeks before the retreat, avoid pork, alcohol, cannabis, drugs, and spicy food. Do not take prescribed medicines or other drugs during this period, as Ayahuasca is a strong medicine that may react with them.
One week before the retreat, avoid red meat, junk food, sweets, soda, dairy, pickled foods, and caffeine. In the final days, keep meals balanced and avoid extreme dieting. For the last three days, reduce salt, pepper, and oil if possible.
Choose organic food with moderate salt and sugar. Chicken or fish are acceptable if you prefer meat. Since this full-day Ayahuasca session takes place during the day, you must arrive on an empty stomach. A tea, or at most a light juice or one piece of fruit early in the morning, is allowed before fasting for the ceremony.
Setting a clear intention is strongly recommended. The ceremony can be intense, and a focused intention can help guide you through the experience and keep you connected to your purpose. In the days or weeks before the retreat, reflect on why you feel drawn to Ayahuasca, what you hope to understand, and what challenges you are currently facing.
Support your preparation through practices that strengthen inner awareness, such as meditation, yoga, breathwork, time in nature, and other mindfulness activities.
Some Andean shamans also recommend abstaining from sexual activity, including masturbation, for two weeks before the retreat to conserve energy for the ceremony.
The purge, which may include vomiting or diarrhea, is seen in some traditions as a cleansing process that releases physical and emotional toxins. It is often considered a natural and important part of the Ayahuasca experience.
Ayahuasca is not known to be physically addictive. Many participants even report fewer cravings for alcohol or tobacco afterward. Still, it should always be approached with respect and responsibility.
Yes, Ayahuasca is legal in Peru and is recognized as cultural heritage and traditional medicine.
