PRATI’s Foundations in Psychedelic Medicine Training is designed to give medical and mental health professionals the essential skills needed to step into the role of an effective psychedelic medicine practitioner. Led by experienced providers and educators, the program offers a focused introduction to the growing field of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy, with particular attention to ketamine-assisted psychotherapy.
Ketamine is presented as a practical and meaningful starting point for those entering psychedelic medicine, offering a way to explore the healing possibilities of nonordinary states of consciousness. Because ketamine is currently the only legal and widely used psychedelic in the United States, developing confidence and competence with it can create a strong base for future work as other medicines become available.
Since 2019, PRATI has been a leader in psychedelic medicine training, supporting hundreds of alumni from around the world. The program blends evidence-based practices, hands-on skill building, and experiential learning to help participants begin practice with clarity and confidence. Along the way, you’ll be part of a vibrant community of knowledgeable teachers and connected colleagues, in an experience that is designed to be both personally and professionally transformative.
As a nonprofit organization, PRATI is guided by a mission to support reconnection to the sacred. That perspective is woven intentionally throughout the training, honoring the profound and interconnected nature of psychedelic medicine work. At the same time, the program remains grounded in practical, evidence-based methods, creating a thoughtful framework for exploring healing for individuals and the planet alike.
Over four empowering days, participants co-create a supportive environment for deep personal and professional growth, with guidance from PRATI’s expert educators and direct exploration of ketamine medicine. The setting is intentionally designed to promote emotional safety and connection, with a high trainer-to-registrant ratio that allows for personalized care and support. Warmth, joy, and play are also part of the experience, helping foster the sense of community that many participants describe as a highlight of the training.
This immersive program combines engaging didactic presentations with dynamic experiential elements in a serene, retreat-style environment surrounded by pristine nature. Learning is deepened through dyadic experientials, small-group discussions, and large-group activities that encourage both reflection and connection.
The training prepares participants for the clinical application of ketamine-assisted psychotherapy while building a solid foundation in psychedelic medicine. Participants will develop key skills and gain firsthand experience, including:
