Yoga and hiking retreat in the Norwegian wilderness
This off-grid escape brings you back to nature and back to simplicity. At Hagabrekka, there is no electricity or running water, creating a truly grounded setting for days spent exploring untouched landscapes, icy rivers, lakes, waterfalls, and scenic trails. Expect a digital detox, nourishing plant-based meals, bonfire evenings, laughter, and the chance to form new friendships while reconnecting with yourself.
Rooted in regenerative living and permaculture, Hagabrekka Wanderland offers a retreat experience designed for those who want to immerse themselves in nature. From the peaceful views of Skorvefjell to the sound of birds and the nearby waterfall each morning, this is a place to slow down, breathe deeply, and let go of everyday stress.
Highlights include:
The retreat is located about 2 hours by car, or 2.5 hours by bus, from Oslo in Flatdal, a small village in Seljord municipality. Surrounded by dramatic mountains and a beautiful U-shaped valley, Hagabrekka is completely off-grid and built around a simple, nature-connected way of living. Solar power is available in some areas, water is pumped from a nearby river, and composting toilets are used on site. As this is a wild natural environment, you may also encounter spiders and other insects.
