Accommodation Options
Flint
Set in a beautifully converted stable opposite Launceston Farmhouse, this inviting hideaway offers a peaceful countryside escape with its own private outdoor courtyard and a bateau bath generously sized for two. From the windows and garden, guests can enjoy sweeping views across organic farmland and the courtyard gardens, creating a calm and restorative setting from the moment you arrive.
Step straight out onto miles of farm tracks and bridleways that lead across the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, making it easy to spend the day walking, exploring, and breathing in the fresh country air. After a brisk ramble, unwind with a dip in the indoor pool or a soothing session in the sauna. In the evenings, settle in beside the wood burner with a good book and enjoy the relaxed comfort of the space.
The fully equipped kitchen gives you flexibility during your stay, with heat-and-eat meals and farm-sourced suppers available for arrival, or a village pub just a five-minute stroll away. With Dorset and Wiltshire’s many highlights nearby, including the breathtaking Jurassic Coast, this is a wonderful base for both rest and discovery.
The Bothy
Set on the ground floor beside the Farmhouse, this luxurious self-catering cottage is made for two. A private outdoor courtyard with a bateau bath invites long soaks beneath the stars, while the indoor pool and wood burner make it easy to unwind with a good book afterwards.
The kitchen is fully equipped, and you can pre-order farm-sourced breakfasts or heat-and-eat meals for your arrival. If you prefer to dine out, the village pub is just a five-minute walk away. Located in one of the country’s finest Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and only a short drive from the Jurassic Coast, it offers plenty to explore right from the doorstep.
Infants aged 0-2 are welcome, and a travel cot and high chair can be provided, subject to availability. Children over 2 cannot be accommodated. Up to two dogs may stay too, with a £25 surcharge to cover additional cleaning.
The Farmhouse
Launceston Farmhouse is offered exclusively for self-catering stays, available for week-long holidays and short breaks. Sleeping up to 12 guests across six ensuite bedrooms, it is an ideal choice for extended family gatherings and larger groups.
Set within extensive walled gardens and an orchard, the property offers a peaceful setting for children and adults alike. An enclosed play area, complete with a sand pit and mud kitchen, creates a welcoming space for younger guests, while the indoor pool and sauna ensure there is plenty to enjoy whatever the weather.
The accommodation includes two queen-size double bedrooms, each with an en suite shower and WC. There are also four super-king size double bedrooms, all of which can be arranged as twins; these rooms feature ensuite shower and WC, with three also offering roll-top baths.
Facilities include high-speed WiFi throughout, a 12m indoor heated swimming pool and sauna available from 7am to 8pm, extensive gardens and a play orchard, a family room with full-size table football, toys and books, and ample on-site parking. Entertainment features a 55" Smart TV in the family room, a 48" Smart TV in the sitting room, 32" Smart TVs in all six bedrooms, and a Sonos Bluetooth speaker in the dining room.
Located on a working organic farm in the Tarrant Valley on the Dorset/Wiltshire border, the farmhouse is 5 miles from the Georgian market town of Blandford Forum and 15 miles from Sandbanks Beach and the World Heritage Jurassic Coast. The family- and dog-friendly village pub, The Langton Arms, is just a five-minute walk away. Please note that when the lower occupancy rate is used, three guest bedrooms and one sitting room will not be available.
