Restoring the vibrancy of the human spirit and the natural world
This rare offering brings together practice, purpose, and community in a powerful tantric immersion. It carries the fully matured energy of the six-month Khajuraho practice to the Sri Vidya Shrine at the Honesdale campus, forming a meaningful energetic bridge between the sister shrines in Khajuraho and Honesdale.
Offered in two sessions, July 13–27 and October 9–23, this retreat welcomes Sri Sukta practitioners of all levels into a shared field of healing, abundance, and inner awakening. Whether you are just beginning, deepening an established sadhana, or serving as an anchor practitioner, your participation supports a collective practice rooted in divine grace. Daily group recitation of Sri Sukta, sacred fire offerings, and personal meditation work together to accelerate inner growth and uplift collective consciousness.
See the October offering
After the completion of the six-month Maha Sri Yaga practice in Khajuraho, members of the global Sri Sukta community expressed a sincere wish to bring this uncommon practice to Honesdale. That wish is now being honored with great care and enthusiasm.
The depth, richness, and transformative force cultivated at the Sri Vidya shrine in Khajuraho continues in the United States with the same vitality. A dedicated group of anchor practitioners will preserve the continuity and integrity established during the India sessions, supporting a seamless transition between the two sister shrines.
This practice invites us to elevate our sadhana and strengthen our relationship with inner reality. In doing so, it helps soften external reality, making it gentler, kinder, more loving, and more receptive. It also deepens the sacred connection between Honesdale and Khajuraho, energizing both shrines for the benefit of present and future practitioners.
What is Maha Sri Yaga?
Maha Sri Yaga is an exceptionally rare group practice based on Sri Sukta. Its aim is to support personal growth while infusing collective consciousness with the positive force of self-trust, trust in divine providence, and trust in the power that governs both our inner and outer lives. Its deeper purpose is to refine the mind and help overcome aggression, divisiveness, and hatred.
In simple terms, it is a practice for restoring the vibrancy of humanity and the natural world.
In a time marked by climate strain, social polarization, and collective anxiety, we need practices capable of creating meaningful change in consciousness. Maha Sri Yaga offers a way to cool the fires affecting our personal and shared lives, to heal and rejuvenate the natural world, and to renew the human spirit with divine abundance.
The Main Practice
All participants engage in the main practice, which is suitable for practitioners of every level. This 12-day practice includes an opening ceremony, daily group recitation of 20 rounds of Sri Sukta in the shrine, a daily havan centered on fire offerings with Sri Sukta mantras, and daily personal meditation in the Sri Vidya Shrine.
