This 300-hour pathway combines a core 200-hour residential training with 100 hours of specialist study chosen from Byron Yoga Centre’s module options. It is designed to help you strengthen your teaching, explore the areas of yoga that matter most to you, and share your knowledge in a way that feels grounded and genuine.
Once you have completed the program, and provided you already hold a 200-hour qualification, you may be eligible for 500-hour membership with Yoga Alliance and registration as a Yoga Teacher with Yoga Australia.

This fully residential training takes place at the Byron Yoga Retreat Centre in Byron Bay.
Accommodation is simple, comfortable, and designed to support your retreat experience. Options include a quad share cabin, twin room with shared bathroom, or private ensuite room with verandah, subject to availability and budget.
The vegetarian menu is supported by 3 acres of organic gardens, with meals prepared to be balanced, cleansing, and nourishing using fresh local, organic, and seasonal ingredients whenever possible.
Byron Yoga Centre has spent more than three decades integrating sustainability into its ethos. Current initiatives include solar power, rainwater harvesting, eco-friendly toilets, recycling, composting, and community outreach.

How many students will I be training with?
Groups are intentionally small, with around 6–8 students on Level 2.
Can I join if I have injuries?
Yes. The training is inclusive and meets students where they are, with a focus on adaptable, accessible teaching.
Do I need to complete the specialty modules in a particular order?
No. The residential and specialty trainings can be completed in any order.
What is the time frame for the specialty training component?
You have up to 3 years to complete the 100-hour specialty component.
Is there a payment plan?
Yes. Fortnightly payments are available, with the final payment due 7 days before the course start date.

You will be sharing the cabin with one other international students of the same gender. The rooms are newly renovated with wooden floors and whitewashed walls. All rooms have air conditioning, reading lamps and a wardrobe. The communal bathrooms are a short walk away and, in line with our eco-policies, they have compost toilets, rain water showers and solar heated hot water.

All rooms have air conditioning, reading lamps and a wardrobe.
