When you choose yoga teacher training, you want to know you are in capable hands. Byron Yoga Centre has built a strong reputation as one of the country’s longest-running yoga schools, and has operated as an RTO since 2009, offering premium yoga teaching qualifications with confidence and care.
The teacher trainers are experienced, well-trained, and deeply committed to supporting both your professional development and your personal journey.
Reflecting the holistic approach of the signature Purna Yoga style, the training is broad and thorough. It includes a detailed study of postures, breathing techniques, meditation, philosophy, and ethics.
The course also draws on a strong faculty of resident and guest senior teachers with expertise in Anatomy and Physiology, Yoga Philosophy, Women’s Health, Ayurveda, and Kirtan.
The philosophy is simple: the best way to learn how to teach is to teach. That is why these courses place strong emphasis on practical experience, helping you leave with not only a deeper understanding of yoga, but also the confidence and skills to begin teaching.
You will have ample opportunity to teach public classes to real students, not just practice with fellow trainees. Your first public teaching experience begins early in the course, and by the end you will have contributed at least 12 hours of open public classes.
Safety is a key focus throughout the practical training.
Many trainees discover that yoga teacher training becomes a transformational experience in ways they never expected.
