Step into an evening of kirtan with Visvambhar Sheth and feel the uplifting power of sacred sound unfold. This gathering invites you into an immersive experience of rhythm, mantra, and shared connection, where traditional chants meet a fresh, genre-crossing spirit. As the voices rise together, the atmosphere opens into joy, presence, and a sense of unity.
An evening with Vish often begins softly and inwardly before building into waves of vibrant, ecstatic sound. Reggae-inspired grooves, deep drums, soaring vocals, and infectious beats create a space where meditation and movement naturally meet. His voice carries both warmth and edge, making it easy for newcomers to join in while offering experienced practitioners a chance to go even deeper and feel more alive.
The music acts as a bridge, drawing attention out of the mind and back into the body. Whether you sing fully, join quietly, or simply let the rhythm carry you, there is no single way to participate. Every voice becomes part of the collective sound, and in that shared resonance, self-consciousness softens and a genuine sense of community emerges.
Whether this is your first kirtan or part of your regular practice, you are warmly invited to sing, breathe, and be moved by the energy of sacred music in the vibrant spirit of Amsterdam.
Expect chanting, movement, feeling, and perhaps even dancing as the energy builds throughout the evening. This is kirtan with an edge: rooted in tradition, yet alive with rhythm, soul, and a powerful sense of shared experience. Come as you are. We welcome you at De Roos, where the space will be arranged with the option to sit on a chair or use a meditation cushion for comfort. As the evening unfolds, you may find yourself wanting to stand up and move.
