Join a transformational 3-day Kambô retreat designed to help awaken your inner compass and guide you toward a deeper sense of alignment.
Set on the West Coast of Sweden, near Fiskebäckskil, this intimate group retreat takes place from 29th May to 31st May 2026. It is typically held on the last Friday of each month and includes a co-creative music experience, with the focus placed on a heartfelt, personal journey into the next version of yourself.
Over the course of three days and two nights, participants will take part in 3 Kambô ceremonies, along with two Rapé ceremonies. All meals are vegan cuisine. Group healing circles are part of the experience as well, offering a meaningful way to explore the benefits of this modality in community. Many guests find the shared setting deeply moving, often forming new friendships and strengthening existing bonds. The group is limited to 5–6 participants, allowing for individual attention based on each person’s experience with Kambô.
Safety is a top priority throughout every ceremony. The methods used are designed to be gentler on the body while still supporting a profound experience and effect.
Kambô is a natural healing secretion from the Giant Waxy Monkey Tree Frog, scientifically known as Phyllomedusa bicolor. Revered in the Amazon for centuries, it has been used by indigenous tribes for a variety of purposes. The secretion is collected without harming the frog, which is then returned to the jungle unharmed.
Today, Kambô is recognized by many as a powerful holistic modality that may support physical, emotional, mental, energetic, and spiritual wellbeing. Over time, scientific research has identified a complex blend of bio-active peptides within the secretion.
People seek Kambô for many reasons, including low mood, recurring infections, allergies, chronic pain, inflammatory conditions, insomnia, lymphatic cleansing, and general detox support. Experiences vary widely, from subtle shifts to deeply profound results.
Reported benefits may include increased energy, better sleep, reduced pain, clearer skin, emotional release, greater resilience, improved focus, and a stronger sense of clarity and purpose. Some also describe a release of old emotional patterns and a renewed feeling of balance.
During a treatment, the dried secretion is prepared with water and applied to small points on the skin. The experience can feel intense and may include warmth, flushing, pressure, nausea, shaking, sweating, or dizziness. These sensations are usually short-lived, often passing within 20–40 minutes.
Purging is a central part of the process, and rest is recommended afterward. Some people feel energized, while others feel tired and need time to recover. In the days that follow, many notice a sense of clarity, lightness, and renewal.
Kambô is considered safe when administered by a properly trained practitioner, but it is not suitable for everyone. It is contraindicated for people under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding women with babies under 6 months, and those with certain serious medical conditions, including stroke, heart problems, brain hemorrhage, aneurysms, blood clots, severe epilepsy, Addison’s disease, or recent major surgery. It is also not suitable for people undergoing chemotherapy or radiotherapy, taking immune-suppressants for organ transplant, or those who have taken Bufo Alvarius in the last 6–8 weeks.
Extra caution is needed for anyone taking certain supplements or medications, fasting, using sauna or hot yoga, or undergoing water-based detox practices before or after the retreat. Please disclose any relevant medical history, including blood pressure concerns, asthma, diabetes, liver or kidney issues, eating disorders, or chronic health conditions.
In the lead-up to ceremony, it is helpful to reflect on your intention and what you are ready to release or receive. Mentally, emotionally, physically, or spiritually, Kambô may bring hidden patterns to the surface.
Practical preparation includes fasting for 12 hours before treatment, avoiding alcohol and recreational drugs 24–48 hours prior, not drinking large amounts of water on the morning of the ceremony, and stopping fluid intake 2 hours before. Participants are also asked to avoid distilled water, colonics, enemas, liver flushes, sweat lodge practices, and similar detox methods around the ceremony window.
