This immersive workshop is designed for intermediate-level practitioners who want to deepen hip work, improve mobility, and move steadily toward the splits.
Historical Background
Iyengar Yoga takes its name from its founder and interpreter, Bellur Krishnamachar Sundararaja Iyengar, an extraordinary teacher who passed away in 2014. Born in Pune, India, he developed and shared the method now known worldwide as Iyengar Yoga. This approach emphasizes structural alignment through the practice of asanas and differs from many other yoga styles in three key ways: exceptional precision, intelligent sequencing, and the use of supportive props such as the Iyengar chair, wall ropes, and more.
